About Us

We are delighted to introduce REP Giwaydin Security Inc, which stands for REP North in Ojibway. We are a female and Indigenous owned organization that boasts over 40 years of security industry experience amongst our ownership team. Both of our owners were born and raised in the North, and as such understand the unique challenges that faces our region. We specialize in providing professional security guard services throughout Northwestern Ontario, with all operations centrally managed from Thunder Bay. Our confidence stems from our commitment to delivering consistent and exceptional service to our clients in the North. REP Giwaydin Security Inc is a joint venture with REP Security which was established in 2013 with the aim to provide professional security services to a variety of sectors in the Northwestern Ontario region.

Our Team

Ashley Johnson, Owner

Ashley took her first steps into the security industry while attending Confederation College for her Social Work diploma, during which she began working as a Security Guard. Ashley also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was then recruited as the first employee of the newly formed REP Security Inc. Ashley’s determination and extensive knowledge in the industry, enabled her to quickly rise through the ranks and become a supervisor and later a manager. However never satisfied and always ambitious, she partnered then with REP Security to create a new female and Indigenous owned company, REP Giwaydin Security Inc. Ashley currently resides in Thunder Bay, she grew up in Caramat, ON but her heritage can be traced back to Biitigong Nishnaabeg First Nation (formerly known as Pic River First Nation), on the northern shore of Lake Superior.

Manish Agarwal, President

Manish is a seasoned security professional with 25 years of experience in the industry. Formerly he was part of the management team at another local security organization, which helped him recognize that there was a better way to do things. Manish is proud to boast that he was born and raised in Thunder Bay and holds an honours degree in Human Resource Management & Industrial Relations from Lakehead University. His education and experience allow him to better understand and navigate the unique challenges faced by our region.

Tracy Spence, Indigenous Relations Representative

Tracy is a proud Oji-Cree woman who has lived and worked across Canada, particularly in the western provinces and Northern Ontario. A Red Seal Chef by trade and security professional by passion, she brings over 25 years of experience in the industry. Now back in her home territory, she is eager to build meaningful connections and educate the REP Security team on cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Julia Bragnalo, Business Relations Coordinator

Julia moved to Thunder Bay when she was young and has called this home ever since. She’s a proud graduate of Confederation College, where she earned diplomas in Business Administration and Business Accounting, laying the groundwork for a well-rounded and exciting career. Over the years, Julia has worked in financial planning, transportation and the industrial sectors, bringing valuable experience and insights to every role she takes on. Her passion for business and drive for excellence have made her a trusted professional and a strong leader in her field. Outside of work, Julia is dedicated to giving back to the community she loves. As a board member of Our Kids Count, she works to support a local organization that promotes health and well-being for families and individuals across Thunder Bay. Julia’s mix of professional expertise and genuine care for her community makes her a standout leader and an inspiring presence in Thunder Bay’s business world.

As the first point of contact, our guards represent your event with courtesy and strong attention to detail, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment.

Our trained staff act as a visible deterrent to disruptive behaviour and are prepared to respond quickly and calmly to emergencies. Services include:

  • Monitoring heavy machinery, stockpiles, and hazardous zone. Access control for contractors, vendors, and personnel
